Not cool: Heather Heyer’s mother wasn’t told Joe Biden was going to feature her daughter in launch video

Spread the love

It’s really amazing how poorly Joe Biden’s official campaign launch has gone today. We mean, really, really badly.

all right well it's been fun I guess

— Seth Mandel (@SethAMandel) April 25, 2019

As Seth Mandel points out, Barack Obama neglected to endorse Biden, but celebrity porn lawyer Michael Avenatti did. The progressive Justice Democrats had a tweet ready to go highlighting his voting record. Anita Hill is not impressed that Biden waited until this month to call her to express his regrets over the Clarence Thomas hearings, and now we’re learning that the family of Heather Heyer, the counter-protester killed in Charlottesville, wasn’t told she was going to be the centerpiece of Biden’s roll-out video. Oops.

The only way this launch could have gone worse for Biden is if he took a DNA test.

Seriously? It never occurred to anyone on the campaign to check with Heyer’s family before using her in a campaign ad?

Joe Biden did not tell Heather Heyer’s mother that he would be invoking her daughter’s murder in his campaign launch video.

“I wasn’t surprised,” Bro told @TimTeeman. “Most people do that sort of thing. They capitalize on whatever situation is handy.”

Joe Biden didn’t even have the decency to tell Susan he would invoke her loss to further his campaign. Gross.

Oh man…

#CreepyJoe is a walking, talking train wreck

— Deplorable Petr (@PragueArtist) April 25, 2019

It's almost like Biden has trouble with respecting women's boundaries.

For what should be a polished campaign team, it all seems a little sloppy

This just seems like a common courtesy @JoeBiden |2c96c5666277425ea34280c63509dc77|

Classy move, Joe. Already racking up the gaffes and we're not even out of day 1.

One has to wonder if Biden's own team is even trying to sabotage him

This. More than anything, THIS is why Biden’s launch was trash.

If you guys make this man the nominee, I will never forgive you, ever.

Heather Heyer’s mom is such an impressive, principled person who does honor to her daughter’s memory. She is more gracious about Biden than he deserves.

— Amélie #MedicareForAll (@MaximalistaC) April 25, 2019

He didn’t need to get permission to exploit her death for his campaign launch, but would it have been too much to ask to give her family even a heads up? Or did it just never connect in his mind that these are real people and not political props?
